Diweddarwyd ddiwethaf: 20/11/2020 16:25

Cyngor i fyfyrwyr ymchwil ôl-raddedig yn ystod y cyfnod o achosion o'r coronafeirws (COVID-19) gan gynnwys gwybodaeth am oruchwyliaeth, arian, cyflwyno eich thesis a'ch viva.

Information about continuing your research remotely, supervision, teaching, access to campus and funding can now be found on the student intranet. Coronavirus (COVID-19) information for postgraduate research students (PGR).

Hyfforddiant

Byddwch yn gallu dilyn cynlluniau hyfforddiant o hyd yn ogystal â datblygu eich ymchwil a’ch sgiliau proffesiynol drwy ddysgu o bell. Mae’r Academi Ddoethurol eisoes yn cynnig amrediad o adnoddau ar-lein, gan gynnwys mynediad at LinkedIn Learning. Bydd hefyd yn rhoi manylion i chi am unrhyw sesiynau cyfredol yn eu Rhaglen a allai fod ar gael ar-lein.

Cyflwyno eich traethawd

Rydym wedi diddymu’r gofyniad i fyfyrwyr ymchwil gyflwyno eu traethodau fel copïau caled i’w harholi, oherwydd efallai bydd llai o staff yn swyddfa eich Ysgol.

Dylech fod yn barod i gyflwyno fersiwn ddigidol o’ch traethawd. Trafodwch opsiynau amgen â’ch goruchwylydd.

Bydd eich Ysgol yn rhannu manylion perthnasol ynghylch eich cyflwyniad digidol.

Estyniadau di-gost tri mis o hyd i bob myfyriwr ymchwil ôl-raddedig

Ym mis Mawrth, fe wnaethom benderfynu ystyried ceisiadau am estyniadau di-gost fesul achos ar gyfer y rhai ohonoch oedd â dyddiad cau yn agosáu (30 Medi neu'n gynharach). Cafodd hwn ei ddylunio i gefnogi myfyrwyr a allai fod wedi wynebu oedi i'w hastudiaethau ymchwil oherwydd y coronafeirws (COVID-19).

Mae gennym ddarlun mwy eglur erbyn hyn o'r math o darfu y mae ein myfyrwyr ymchwil ôl-raddedig yn ei wynebu. Rydym yn eich annog i weithio gyda'ch goruchwylwyr er mwyn addasu eich cynlluniau ymchwil i leddfu effaith y coronafeirws (COVID-19). Y nod yw gallu parhau â'ch ymchwil a'i chwblhau o fewn yr amserlen wreiddiol os oes modd, ond rydym yn gwybod eich bod yn poeni ynghylch cyflwyno eich traethawd ymchwil erbyn y dyddiad cau o dan sylw.

Er mwyn eich helpu gyda hyn, rydym erbyn hyn wedi cytuno i roi estyniad o dri mis i derfyn amser i fyfyrwyr ymchwil ôl-raddedig sydd wedi cofrestru ar hyn o bryd (ers mis Ebrill 2020 gan gynnwys y rhai sydd yn y cyfnod pan mae disgwyl iddynt gyflwyno eu traethodau ymchwil).

This is an unfunded extension and will be an automatic change to your student record. If you find that you need a further extension beyond this, you can apply in the normal way.

If your submission deadline has already been adjusted due to an extension or interruption application, you will also get the automatic extension.

The automatic extension of three months applies to all research degree programmes (full-time and part-time) with the exception of professional doctorates, which include substantive taught elements. Professional doctorate students should continue to request extensions to their thesis submission deadline at an appropriate time and in the usual way.

Religious observance during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is difficult for us all. While we are unable to offer public worship, private prayer and contemplation remains important and support for your religious observance can be sought from the appropriate chaplain.

In a crisis, and conscious of social distancing rules, chaplains are available to meet with individuals or respond to emergency situations.

Chaplains are accessible by email at chaplaincy@cardiff.ac.uk.

More information about our chaplains and how to get in touch with them is available on the student intranet.
