The project has formed rewarding partnerships with a number of Academic Schools, enabling even more positive impact on the Grangetown community.

Welsh School of Architecture

As well as providing a base for a Community Gateway office, the Welsh School of Architecture has been a strong advocate and supporter of the Community Gateway project over the last four years.

Undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Welsh School of Architecture have worked closely on live teaching projects to support community-led ideas for a variety of buildings and urban spaces in Grangetown and will continue to work closely with Community Gateway on the upcoming redevelopment and community management of Grange Pavilion.

The Welsh School of Architecture has a long history of working with communities throughout and beyond Wales, and the Community Gateway project has provided a perfect vehicle for us to consolidate and strengthen our commitment to enhancing people’s lives.The School is proud to be associated with this landmark project and the enthusiastic team who deliver it. Theproject highlights the ethosof community engagementthat is firmly embedded inour architecture and urban design programmes and inspires our students to serve wider purposes.
