Y Syniad

Darganfod anghenion y gymuned ar gyfer rheoli poen. Mae staff ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd yn awyddus i weithio gyda'r gymuned a chael y cyfle i ofyn beth fyddai'n helpu pobl i reoli eu poen ac ymdopi ag ef. Y prif nod fyddai cefnogi datblygiadau/gweithgareddau parhaus yn y dyfodol.

Rydym hefyd am gynnig cyfleoedd i bobl fynegi eu poen drwy wahanol gyfryngau ac awgrymu beth mae poen yn ei olygu iddyn nhw, a chodi ymwybyddiaeth o amrywiaeth o adnoddau a allai helpu unigolion i chwilio am y ffyrdd gorau o reoli eu poen parhaus.

Cynnydd

Cynhaliodd y Porth cymunedol a staff academaidd o Coleg y Gwyddorau Biofeddygol a Bywyd Ddiwrnod Ymwybyddiaeth o Boen ym mis Medi 2018 a oedd yn gysylltiedig â mis rhyngwladol ymwybyddiaeth o boen. Roedd y diwrnod yn ddigwyddiad galw heibio oedd yn caniatáu i breswylwyr lleol ddod i siarad â staff proffesiynol a myfyrwyr Ffisiotherapi a Therapi Galwedigaethol am boen parhaus a dysgu am adnoddau i helpu i reoli poen.

Roedd sesiynau'r dydd yn cynnwys: "Beth yw poen?" Sesiwn chwalu mythau 'Caru gweithgaredd/Casáu ymarfer corff?' a gweithdy Celf am hwyl. Roedd y diwrnod yn gyfle hefyd i drigolion lleol rannu syniadau ar beth fyddai'n eu helpu i reoli eu poen ar lefel leol.

Camau nesaf

Bydd ailagor Pafiliwn y Grange yn cynnig cyfleoedd i gynnal sesiynau rheolaidd yn y gymuned ar reoli poen.

Runners

A resident led running group in Grangetown.

The idea

Fifty Grangetown residents were offered free places at the 2016 IAAF/Cardiff University World Half Marathon and were provided support and training by staff from Cardiff University’s Healthcare Sciences and Run Wales.

Following the half marathon Community Gateway supported the development of a local running club to maintain the momentum and enthusiam of novice runners from Grangetown.

Progress

Run Grangetown was launched in November 2016. The group is entirely resident led, meeting one evening a week and members also take part in weekend Park Runs. The group has over 180 members that follow activities on social media and join in with events around the year.

Next steps

To encourage new members and lead more local Park Runs as well as fundraising for the Grange Pavilion rebuild.
