Geraint Davies was a partner in Grant Thornton for 25 years before retiring in June 2013.
He now acts as a non-executive director for a number of businesses including, Mears, which is a FTSE 350 company and Cardiff Airport, owned by Welsh Government. Geraint is also retained as an advisor for several other private companies.
In addition to these activities Geraint holds a number of pro bono appointments including Chair of Music Theatre Wales, the leading contemporary opera company in Europe, Arts Active Trust (giving children their first experience of live theatre and music and a non–executive director of the Hay Festival of Literature. His senior pro bono role is as the lead advisor to the residual Aberfan Disaster charities, a role he has held for almost 40 years.
Geraint also sits on the audit committee of the Welsh Rugby Union and is an interviewer of potential magistrates for the Ministry of Justice.
