Communications and Engagement Manager

Kayleigh is committed to telling the stories of those working in the creative industries and shining a light on the difference that they make. She aims to create communications which encourage meaningful engagement and connections as well as promoting knowledge sharing.
Kayleigh is the Communications and Engagement Manager for the Creative Economy Unit at Cardiff University.
Kayleigh leads communications and engagement strategy for Clwstwr, a £10 million screen sector innovation programme for South Wales, and for Creative Cardiff, a city-wide creative network of close to 4000 members.
Specialising in digital content strategy and creation, Kayleigh has a proven track record of delivering organic growth and brand awareness across multiple platforms through creative and authentic storytelling. She is experienced in managing teams, stakeholders and budgets as well as forming partnerships and relationships with funders, policymakers and industry bodies locally, nationally and internationally.
She is the host of Get A ‘Proper’Job, a podcast where creative workers together to share new knowledge and discuss the issues that matter, and often hosts public events as well as representing the Creative Economy Unit in the media.
In 2020, Kayleigh obtained a Professional PR Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). In 2018 she was the recipient of the Outstanding Young Communicator (Silver) award at the CIPR Cymru Wales Pride Awards.
Prior to working in public relations, Kayleigh was a journalist online and onscreen for broadcaster STV in Glasgow.
