Cyber Security Career Awareness Day is an online event to help young people to understand a wide range of job opportunities in cyber security.
Cyber security plays a critical role in the modern digital world. Cyber security rapidly evolves and grows to offer attractive career prospects. Cyber security needs skills from a diverse range of backgrounds, including technical and non-technical. A career in cyber security will offer an interesting, rewarding, and well-paid job. Cyber security practitioners make a vital contribution to society by protecting cyberspace and enabling new businesses and innovations. A strong and diverse cyber security workforce underpins economic prosperity and national security.

This event is for young people choosing future careers (GCSE and A level students, FE College students) and for anyone who is interested in a career in cyber security.
Objectives of the day
- inspire and encourage young to pursue careers in cyber security
- raise awareness about a wide range of career opportunities in cyber security
- highlight the demand for qualified cyber security professionals across the world
- discuss existing resources and programs to help young people to start a career in cyber security.
This event is organised by Cardiff University and is supported by cyber security experts from Airbus, PwC, SANS, Tarian Regional Organised Crime Unit and the Cyber Resilience Centre for Wales (WCRC).
