A new view of seafloor spreading

We have produced a resource that offers case studies to help teachers convey the challenges and wonder of modern science in action.
The case studies show how researchers work at, and beyond, the final frontier of the Earth’s deep oceans. Researchers take on drilling expeditions that allow them to re-examine our basic understanding of how the planet works.
The resource includes explanatory and exercise materials available to download for free. They are specifically designed to assist those teaching Geology in UK schools at A-level , AS-level and GCSE. This could be where geology is a named item on the curriculum but is also for suitable for teachers of Geography and Science, in the UK and worldwide.
This activity should be led by a teacher with materials available on the project website.
