Universe in the Classroom is reaching out to primary schools and communities across Wales, hoping to spark a curiosity about the Universe and a passion for learning in young children.
Although Welsh Government funding for Universe in the Classroom ended in June 2018, the website is still available available as an archive of the project and all classroom activities and print materials are still available for use.The activities are aimed at pupils in key stage two and three or as a family activity.
Enquiry-based learning techniques were taken into consideration in the design of each activity, and all necessary scientific information is included, along with a step-by-step walk through, so that you can implement the activities without carrying out any background research.
All activities and resources are available in both Welsh and English.
