Big Band Day

  • CalendarAvailable on request
  • Clock outlineA full day

The young musicians and Cardiff University Big Band gave an informal concert at the end of the day.

We often run events that give pupils an opportunity to develop a jazz ensemble and play with University jazz students and staff.

We are interested in developing more of these events and are happy to work with you to meet your needs.

For example, we recently held an interactive and collaborative workshop and informal concert for talented young musicians.

The Cardiff University Big Band Workshop Day invited talented young musicians to join MA composition student Matt Lush and the Big Band to develop their skills in jazz improvisation and ensemble performance.

We run these sessions as requested by schools and are happy to tailor them to your needs.

You can read more about the Big Band Workshop Day in a recent news story.
