Take part

We are incredibly excited about this year’s Love Grangetown event which kicks off on 14 November 2022.

It involves a week of free informal workshops and conversations to discuss the priorities for this community when it comes to health and wellbeing, housing, green spaces and young voices and how Grangetown can launch a community led Grangetown place plan in the future. Visitors can sign up for the workshops via Eventbrite.

Children are welcome to the sessions and refreshments are provided. On the closing day, Saturday 19 November, there will be free sports activities for children and a no-need-to-book event with information stalls and activities running from 14:00 - 17:00.

Be part of the conversation

Hosted by our Community Gateway project, the workshops will explore how we can continue to support the university-community partnerships in Grangetown and set out to discover what’s changed, what matters most to people, and what the community want to see happen next.

The conversations across the week will report on and be shaped by the community feedback, which last year showed clean streets, green spaces and provision for young people were key priorities. Results of research we carried out in May (online and in the Grange Pavilion) with Community Voices Cardiff will also be on the table.

Have your say before the week kicks off

Before the week kicks off the Community Gateway team would like to know what you value most in Grangetown and how you would like Cardiff University to collaborate with the community via an easy-to-complete new annual Love Grangetown 2022 survey. The survey will close on 13 November ahead of the Love Grangetown event.
