Felabration Caerdydd | Cardiff 2022 brings Dele Sosimi and members of his Afrobeat Orchestra to Chapter to perform some of Fela Kuti’s considerable Afrobeat songbook. They will be joined by students of the School of Music at Cardiff University, following a workshop led by Dele.
Felabration is a worldwide festival celebrating the life of Nigeria’s foremost musical icon, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, during the month of his birth. Dele Sosimi was in the Shrine with Fela, and continues to be the leading educator/ambassador for the Afrobeat genre in the United Kingdom.
