Dr Alan Parker discusses his research which investigates how common viruses infect our healthy cells, and whether we can re-train them to attack and kill cancer cells. Dr Parker and his team are looking at how they can better understand and engineer viruses to develop virotherapies.

Dr Carly Bliss joins Dr Parker to discuss her work developing tailored viruses as vaccines for infectious diseases, and how over the last few months the team at Cardiff have targeted their specialist area of research to join the global race to deliver a vaccine for COVID-19.
