Revitalising old garden and green verge spaces for the community.
This is an idea from a member of the Grangetown community. The Community Gateway project plans to revisit this idea in the future.
"I would like to link the University to work with our group, the Friends of Pentre Gardens, which looks after green spaces in our Grangetown community.
We would like to begin work to improve a small triangular gated green space that was once a formal garden and the green verges around it. The park is at the centre of our community so we would like to take full advantage of making it look as good as possible."
How we can help
The University could help to devise a plan to landscape the gardens using current students as part of their academic studies. The Community Gateway project could also work to get local residents and school children involved with helping improve the green spaces around Grangetown.
