Now in its 22nd year, the annual Innovation and Impact Awards celebrate the collaboration successes of our academics and businesses with a prestigious awards ceremony and dinner.
2019 winners
Sponsored by Blake Morgan and Symbiosis IP, the 2019 Innovation and Impact Awards took place at the National Museum Cardiff.
It was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Colin Riordan and Minister for Education, Kirsty Williams AM, who gave the keynote address. The Minister also presented the People's Choice Award, voted for by the public, which went to the Welsh Local Government Association and School of Psychology for increasing awareness of the SIGNS of autism in children.

It was attended by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Colin Riordan, and Dr Ian Campbell (Executive Chair Innovate UK) who gave the keynote address. Dr Campbell also presented the People's Choice Award to TeloNostiX and School of Medicine for their development of a cancer diagnostic tool.

Sponsored by Blake Morgan, Symbiosis IP and IP Group, the 2017 Innovation and Impact Awards took place on 26 June 2017 in front of guests including Julie James AM, who gave the keynote speech. Julie also presented the People's Choice Award to the Chief Fire Officers Association and School of Psychology for their work on decision making in the emergency services which has gone on to receive further acclaim for all involved and been rolled out across the emergency services.
