Events and showcases

In response to continued social distancing measures for the next few months, we have taken the decision to deliver our regular employer engagement and careers fair programme virtually for Autumn 2020.

We are making full use of virtual platforms to create a slick experience that will be easy to access and engaging for both employers and students.

Please note, completing a booking form online is a request to attend the event and does not mean you are guaranteed a space.

The information you provide in the booking form will be published on our Student Intranet so please ensure that it is as up to date and accurate as possible.

Whilst we are currently taking bookings for our autumn fairs, we are closely monitoring the situation surrounding COVID-19, and, should the need arise we are considering alternative formats to enable employers to continue to interact and engage with our students. A range of organisations attend this fair, from small charities and volunteering services to large multinational corporations.

TechFest is aimed at all Cardiff University students interested in pursuing a career in the technology sector.

Following on from feedback from schools, employers and graduates, this brand new tailored and innovative employability event recognises the demand and growth of the digital technology sector in the UK and looks to build on the success of our well-regarded and established STEM Careers Fair.

Big Grad Fair 2020 has been cancelled. In response to the Government’s recent announcement that we are moving from the containment to delay phase with regards to coronavirus (COVID-19), we have taken the decision to cancel this event.

We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but ensuring the safety and welfare of our event attendees, staff and students is our priority.

Now in its second year, the Big Grad Fair is a must-attend event for organisations who have established graduate roles, as well as entry level opportunities, internships and placements.

Held in the Great Hall at the Students' Union, the Big Grad Fair is aimed at all Cardiff University students and is a fantastic way for organisations of all sectors and sizes to showcase their graduate opportunities on campus to our engaged and motivated students. Please note that you do not need to have an established graduate recruitment scheme to attend this event, we welcome SMEs and start-up businesses as well as established graduate recruiters.

Online showcase events

Our online showcase events (virtual careers fairs) are now available for you to book with us. These themed events will replace our physical careers fairs for Autumn 2020 and are designed to enable employers to build their brand and engage effectively with students online.

During our showcase events, employers will be able to host a virtual stand and offer targeted information for our students, links to your website, video links, online brochures and key information on the range of student and graduate opportunities with your organisation.

Employers will also be able to schedule times to engage directly with our students by running a live event(s) via your own preferred platforms: Zoom, Teams, Google Hangouts, Facebook Live etc.

We are happy to discuss event formats and platform ideas with you in more detail during the booking process. Recorded sessions can also be made available to our students after the live event to maximise your exposure.

For fees and how to book, please see the information on each showcase.

Be seen and engage with Cardiff's finest.
