Microsoft Publisher 2013
This one-day course provides an overview of using Microsoft Publisher for desktop publishing.
About the course
This comprehensive course will take you through designing and creating professional looking publications, such as posters and newsletters, using Microsoft Publisher.
This course covers:
- understanding how page layout can be controlled by use of frames
- creating complex page layouts
- using multiple column layouts
- incorporating images into the overall layout of your publications.
The latter part of the course provides time to put the skills you have learned into practice. You may find it useful to bring your own text and image content to start laying out your publication. Otherwise, example files will be provided.
Prerequisites
You must be familiar with the Microsoft Office interface and the use of the mouse and keyboard. You should also be able to create formatted documents using Microsoft Word prior to attending this course.
Cost
£125 for non-profit making organisations eg other universities, charities, and government bodies, including Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
£150 for commercial organisations.
