Roger Lewis is the Chair of Cardiff Airport, appointed by the Welsh Government in 2015 and has been Chair of the International Advisory Board at Cardiff Business School since 2008.
Over a forty year career Roger has held a number of senior positions in the media, music and sporting sectors, including Group Chief Executive of the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) and Millennium Stadium, Managing Director of ITV Wales, Managing Director and Programme Controller of Classic FM, and a Board Director of its parent company GWR plc, a Managing Director at EMI Records, President of the Decca Record Company and Head of the BBC Radio 1 Music Department.
Roger has also held and holds a number of non-executive positions in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
In 2010/11 he chaired the successful cross-party Yes Campaign in the referendum in Wales, and from 2013 until 2015 Chaired the Cardiff Capital Region Advisory Board for the Welsh Government.
Roger sits on the Advisory Board of the D Group, is the Chair of the Churchill Lines Charitable Fund, a Trustee of the Institute of Welsh Affairs and is a non-executive director of the Racecourse Media Group. He has been Chair of the International Advisory Board at Cardiff Business School since 2008.
