Cardiff University and the EU

We are extremely proud of our thriving international community of staff and students from Europe and the rest of the world.

This diversity fosters creativity and innovation and is an important part of our culture. Brexit will not change this.

We will continue to champion the positive impact that this international outlook has on the University, the economy and society.

Our European partnerships, collaborations and connections are extremely important to us and to the country as a whole.

Cardiff University will remain a tolerant, diverse, friendly and welcoming University to European staff and students in the post-Brexit world.

Professor Colin Riordan, Vice-Chancellor

We are proud to have 7,500 EU and international students from 120 countries. We hugely value their contributions and we are committed to supporting them during Brexit.

We wish to provide as much relevant information and guidance about Brexit as possible.

Our international community is an enormous strength and we will always welcome people from Wales, the rest of the UK, other countries in Europe and beyond to study, teach, research and work here.
