The Biomechanics and Bioengineering Research Centre Versus Arthritis has the skills and facilities that are successfully delivering a "step-change" in treatment and understanding of osteoarthritis.
The Biomechanics and Bioengineering Research Centre Versus Arthritis is investigating how our everyday movements can influence the health of our joints and how this may contribute to disease onset.
The Centre was established in 2009 when Versus Arthritis selected Cardiff University to be its prestigious UK Centre of Excellence in Biomechanics and Bioengineering.
We aim to improve the treatment, diagnosis and rehabilitation of arthritis through interdisciplinary research.
Our team of researchers, principle investigators and professional staff are joined by Scientific Advisory Board members and Affiliated personnel who bring an external perspective to our research.
You can help us to further our understanding of the causes of arthritis, by volunteering to assist us with our research.
