Dr Pretty Sagoo

Pretty Sagoo is Managing Direct of Defined Benefits and Member of the Group Executive Committee at the Just Group Plc, a Retirement Specialist.

She has a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from Imperial College, London and an MSci in Physics which she obtained from study at Imperial College, London and the University of Trento in Italy.

Pretty’s career began at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities department, working with European pension funds and insurance companies to set investment strategy and manage financial and demographic risks.

Over the following 15 years she continued to work in Insurance and Pensions), at AXA insurance, Deutsche Bank and Legal & General Insurance. Her previous role was Head of New Business and Pensions at the insurance company Athora.

During her career she has been a pension fund trustee for Abbey Life Pension Scheme, and a company director for Legal & General Reinsurance Bermuda.

Pretty lives in Penarth, South Glamorgan. She is fluent in Italian, Punjabi and Hindi.

Pretty joined Council on 1 January 2021 and is a member of the Investment and Banking Sub-Committee.
