Travel Information

By road, Cardiff is situated on the intersection of the M4 (the motorway which runs from London across south Wales) and the A470 (the main road from south to north Wales).

By train, Cardiff has rail links to most UK cities. There is a regular London-Cardiff train service which only takes 2 hours.

By bus, National Express links Cardiff to most cities in the UK, while Megabus operates a discounted service between Cardiff and London. Cardiff’s central bus station is situated immediately outside Cardiff Central train station.

By air, Cardiff International Airport (CWL) is twelve miles west of the centre of Cardiff, and has a range of domestic and international flights; Bristol International Airport (BRS) is around an hour’s journey time by bus and train, while London Heathrow (LHR) is in close proximity to the M4 motorway from London to Cardiff. There is a direct coach service from Heathrow to Cardiff and to Reading railway station which connects with inter-city rail services to Cardiff.
