The G J Williams Memorial Lecture is an endowed lecture, normally delivered in Welsh, in memory of Professor Griffith John Williams (1892-1963), who lectured in Welsh language and literature at the University of Wales, Cardiff between 1921 and his retirement in 1957.
The Islwyn Memorial Lecture is a series of endowed lectures (in Welsh) in memory of William Thomas ('Islwyn') (1832-78), the great Gwent poet.
