Success for students at Poetry Slam for the fourth consecutive year
This year’s Poetry Slam between the students and staff of the School of Welsh was held on 27 April in The Bunk House with Llŷr Gwyn Lewis and Gruffudd Owen hosting the evening.
It was a close contest and the standard was high. The student Non Jones won ‘the banana of victory’ for best limerick and Llion Pryderi Roberts from the staff team won the stool for best poem of the evening in the adjudicators’ view. But it was the audience who had the final say, and it was the students who were victorious overall winning the highest marks. Congratulations to them; we’ll have to wait and see if they can keep their record next year…
