Studentís work on the screen

19/12/2012

A film by one of our research students will appear on S4C over the Christmas period. Ceri Elen is the writer of ‘Pianissimo’ which will appear at 9.00pm on Boxing Day. Ceri wrote the script as part of the creative writing folio for her MA in Welsh. She is currently studying for a PhD in creative writing, and looking specifically at the relationship between drama and language.

Ceri has enjoyed the experience immensely: "Creating this film has been a wonderfully exciting experience. I would like to sincerely thank Manon Rhys and Manon Eames, tutors in the School of Welsh,  for their support along the way”.

Ceri is also a creative writing and script-writing tutor at the School and this year she published her first novel for children, ‘Pentre Saith’, with Y Lolfa.
