Four new scholarships worth 3,000

05/11/2010

The new Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol is offering 50 new scholarship schemes for undergraduates studying through the medium of Welsh. These scholarships are worth £3000 over 3 years and are available to Welsh medium students embarking on their University courses in 2011.

Four of these scholarships have been allocated for students wishing to study Welsh (single honours) here at Cardiff in 2011. These scholarships are awarded on the basis of excellence in an examination paper set by the School of Welsh. Candidates may sit the two-hour examination in their school or college (with the Headteacher’s or the Principal's permission) or at the School of Welsh. Further information and examples of previous examination papers are available here.

You may download an application form on the Mantais website. Please note that the closing date is 15 December 2010. The application form should be returned to Dr Meilyr Emrys, Canolfan Addysg Uwch Cyfrwng Cymraeg (the details are on the form). For more information please contact the School office or visit the Mantais website.
