Students demonstrate their creative flair

Our students will be at the forefront of this year’s Bay Lit festival. Bay Lit is an annual festival of literary innovation arranged by the Academi and takes place in various new venues spread across Cardiff Bay.

Llŷr Gwyn Lewis, Gwilym Dwyfor and Chris Cope, postgraduate students at the School of Welsh, will take part in a session entitled ‘Havannah Laugh’ on Saturday 30th October. The three will share their comical prose, poetry and scripts alongside other young Welsh writers in the Havannah Bar.

Gwennan Evans, a student studying our MA in Welsh (Creative Writing route) will be paired with Griff Lynch and Gruffudd Pritchard from the band ‘Yr Ods’ on Tuesday 26 October in a session entitled ‘One Day Only’. The purpose of the session is to combine literature and music in a unique way. The fruit of their labour will be performed at the end of the day at the Wharf.

If you are interested in these sessions or any other Bay Lit events please visit the Academi website.
