Launch of publications and two websites

A reception was held to launch the latest websites and publications of members of staff, in the company of Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM, Minister for Heritage.
Websites
Welsh Prose 1350-1425
Funding: A website funded by the AHRC
Project leader: Prof Peter Wynn Thomas
Project researchers: Dr Mark Smith and Dr Diana Luft
This is a site which presents a searchable corpus of Medieval Welsh prose. Some 1.8 million words are covered in 28 manuscripts. The manuscripts contain over 100 texts, here categorised into various genres. A priceless resource (bilingual) for further research into the language, literature, history and culture of the period.
Cronfa Baledi: Mynegai Cyfrifiadurol i Faledi Argraffiedig y 18eg ganrif
A website funded by the Board of Celtic Studies, University of Wales, and developed jointly by the School of Welsh at Cardiff (Dr E Wyn James) and the School of Welsh at Bangor University. It consists of an online index to the Welsh ballad literature of the 18th century.
