GCSE Revision Day welcomes second language pupils
In coordination with the Widening Access Scheme
Over 50 GCSE Welsh second language pupils from the south east visited the School of Welsh on Wednesday, 29 March.
The aim of the day was to introduce the various contexts in which Welsh is used and to give the pupils a taste of university life.
The programme included a talk by Alun and Mari, presenters of the S4C children's programme Planed Plant, presentations of Cardiff University and the BBC's Welsh language interactive websites for learners and language workshops.
The pupils had entered a competition to write an article on the environment and the winners were: 1. Natalie Williams, 2. Kirstie Redward, and 3. Esther Hughes from Blaengwawr School.
