Dr Angharad George is a Language Tutor teaching on the Welsh-language Sabbatical Scheme. Cardiff University is one of three establishments currently running the scheme which is funded by the Welsh Government. It offers the opportunity for Welsh-language and pedagogical training for those who wish to teach, lecture or train wholly or partially through the medium of Welsh or bilingually.

Angharad started at the School of Welsh in 2000 as an undergraduate student. After graduating, she followed an MA course at the School and completed a PhD thesis on Postcolonial approaches to Dafydd ap Gwilym. Angharad also contributes to language and literature undergraduate modules at the School.
