Located in Cardiff Medicentre at the University Hospital of Wales, we run multi-disciplinary training courses across a range of surgical and medical specialties.
We first opened in 1994 and are now part of Cardiff University School of Medicine.
We are a postgraduate institution which oversees the training and development of minimal access therapy in Wales. We are one of the first and best-equipped laparoscopic training centres in the UK, and are now among the busiest multi-disciplinary training centres in the country.
In June 2012 we were approved as the first RCS Accredited Surgical Education Centre. This accreditation was awarded after a vigorous application process and acknowledges the high level of surgical education and quality assurance which we provide.
