Vehicular access to the Julian Hodge Building is via Colum Drive, through a barrier entrance that is operated with a Cardiff University swipe card. It is the first building on the road to the right. Alternative access is via the path from Corbett Road, past the ASSL Library and the Humanities Building.

There is level access into the Julian Hodge Building from the Humanities car park via a motorised door. There is ramped access and a motorised door via the Colum Drive entrance.

The lift is situated to the right of the Humanities Car Park entrance and services all floors.

The lecture theatre can be accessed from both the Humanities car park entrance and the Colum Drive ramped entrance, the lecture theatre is straight ahead and to the right.

There is level access to the front of the Julian Hodge Lecture Theatre. There are 5 wheelchair spaces at the front, 2 permanent, 3 removable and 2 accessible desks. The theatre is fitted with passive lighting and an induction loop for people with hearing impairments.

The JHB Lounge is an accessible, ground floor dining area that serves hot food. The Dolce Vita Gallery is on first floor, which is an accessible snack bar with a seating area.

There is an accessible unisex toilet on the ground floor (room number 0.17) and the second floor (2.03).

Parking

University car parks are monitored by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and foot patrol officers.

Only authorised vehicles that have paid for parking can use the car parks.

Blue Badge holders can park for free but will need to email their vehicle registration number to carparking@cardiff.ac.uk within 24 hours of their visit.
