Eco Champions
Eco Champions are the people responsible for making sure each department is doing its best to help the University become more environmentally sustainable. Each school and division has an Eco Champion member of staff whose role is broadly to promote and encourage the reduction in unnecessary energy and water consumption, minimise waste production and ensure efficient recycling of unwanted resources. There are approximately 100 Eco Champions across the University.
Take time to get to know your Eco Champion, as the more people become aware of, and support the work they do, the more we will all increase our efforts in becoming more sustainable.
School/Departmental Eco Champions can be contacted through John Newton – Newton@cardiff.ac.uk - who can also give advice on general issues relating to the Eco Champions' group.
