Mike Hughes (author of The Magenta Principles) led a session on encouraging independent learning and effective learning strategies; Matthew Welbourn, representative from UCAS; Cardiff University Medicine School, gave an Insider's Guide to our Multiple Mini Interviews.
There was a choice of the following workshops:
- SACU: The easy way to get students researching their future options
- a Cardiff University guide to writing personal statements and references
- Student Finance changes
- raising aspirations, fulfilling potential: the support available at Cardiff University.
Delegates were also invited to attend our interactive academic School Tours - providing an excellent opportunity to learn more about the courses available and try something new. In addition, academics and Heads of a number of academic Schools, including the School of Welsh, the School of English, Communication and Philosophy and the School of Medicine will join us for a lunch time session giving opportunity for informal discussion and to learn more about the application process to a Russell Group university.
