How to get here

We strongly recommend travelling by public transport or using the Park and Ride as parking on campus is extremely limited.

How to get here

Destination: Cathays train station

Visitors should change at Cardiff Central station and catch the local rail service to Cathays. Trains depart from platform six. Journey time from Cardiff Central to Cathays is only five minutes.

To book train tickets, please visit the National Rail website.

Destination: Cardiff City Hall (off Park Place).

Some bus/coach services will stop outside the Museum or the University on Park Place. If yours does not, you can get a local bus (routes 53 or 86) from the main bus station to the University.

Cardiff University is based in the city centre. If it's your first visit to Cardiff, driving into the city to find parking could be time consuming, stressful and expensive. To avoid the hassle and cost, we recommend using the Park and Ride.

Park and Ride

Destination: Park & Ride East, Junction 30 of the A48(M), CF23 8HH

Buses depart every 15 minutes and the journey time to the University on Park Place (a short walking distance from City Hall) is around 20 minutes.
