Entry requirements for Mauritius

Entry onto our courses will depend on the qualifications you have been awarded in Mauritius and your English language ability.

Undergraduate courses

You will be required to have the Cambridge School Certificate (CSC) plus the Cambridge Higher School Certificate (CHSC) in relevant subjects, excluding General Studies. Alternatively, we will consider the French Baccalaureate or the International Baccalaureate.

Postgraduate taught courses

You will be required to have a good bachelor's degree with the equivalent of an upper second or a very good lower second grade to qualify for our postgraduate taught programmes.

Postgraduate research courses

There are a number of possible entry routes to our postgraduate research courses. We will consider applicants who have successfully completed a Masters from a recognised institution.

In some cases, we will consider applicants who only have a Bachelor's degree (minimum Second Class, Higher Division), although applicants may be required to complete a Master's course at Cardiff University prior to embarking upon PhD studies.

English Language

A relevant English language qualification is also required. If you are unsure of your qualifications or entry requirements, please contact us.
