Staff Attitude Survey
15 April 2011

Detailed reports showing staff satisfaction levels in Schools and Directorates are now available online.
Gathered as part of the University’s Staff Attitude Survey in 2008 the reports can be accessed through the Staff Attitude Survey website and are available for all members of staff to view. Just enter your username and password on the ‘School and Directorate results’ section of the website at www.cardiff.ac.uk/staffsurvey.
The majority of Schools and Directorates have also taken the opportunity to provide information on the action they have taken in response to the results for the individual area – this information is contained at the latter section of the data reports.
The Staff Attitude Survey was conducted as part of the Positive Working Environment initiative. Questions focused on areas including equality and diversity, internal communication and building management capacity. All members of staff were invited to participate in the survey and a response rate across the University of 43% was achieved.
The main University report detailing results of the survey was made available to all members of staff on the Staff Attitude Survey website in November 2008. Substantial action has been taken across the University to make improvements to areas identified by staff. Information on action planning and progress reports is available on the survey website.
The University’s next Staff Attitude Survey will take place in September 2011. Further details will be announced in due course.
