Professor Sir Keith Peters

Professor Sir Keith Peters

The Council of Cardiff University this week begins the process of inviting applications for the position of Vice-Chancellor.

The vacancy will arise when Dr David Grant stands down from the office he has held since 2001. It is expected that the successful candidate will begin duties in August 2012.

The position will be advertised nationally and internationally. The first advertisement will feature in The Times Higher (10 March 2011). The next Vice-Chancellor will be selected by a Joint Committee of the Council and the Senate, responsible for making a recommendation to the University Council.

  • Mr Dick Roberts, Vice Chair of Council
  • Mrs Philippa Herbert, University Treasurer
