Cardiff University Football Development Centre provides talented players in U9/ U10/ U11/ U12/ U13/ U14/ U15 age groups the opportunity to develop through technical training sessions and matches throughout the season.
Cardiff University Sport is pleased to announce it is continuing its exciting partnership with Cardiff and Vale County Schools football, as it enters its fourth season after a very successful first 3 years. The partnership provides an opportunity for players to progress from the Development Centre into the Cardiff & Vale representative squad. Fixtures between the two squads take place during the season to allow all coaches and managers to assess player’s development.

The Junior Football Development programme is delivered over 25 weekly sessions, between September and April.
Players selected for the Development Centre squads will train at the fantastic facilities at Cardiff University Sports Training Village – Talybont. Squad members will receive quality coaching by FA/FAW qualified coaches. The key focus for coaches is player development, concentrating on areas such as technical skills and tactical elements of play.
Cardiff University Football Development Centre also schedule in fixtures against other representative teams and academies, offering squad members high quality competition and the opportunity to showcase their ability.
