South Girls' Performance Centre (Football)
As part of the FAW Trust's Female Player Development Pathway, the South Girls' Performance Centre aims to support and develop talented female players to progress onto regional and national squads.
The South Girls' Performance Centre is one of seven Performance Centres geographically located within Wales, all having a key focus to develop female players "the Welsh way". The Performance Centres assist with player development across the 2003 to 2010 years of birth.
Cardiff University Sport is pleased to announce its partnership with the FAW Trust in overseeing the South Girls' Performance Centre. Cardiff University Sport is also looking forward to working with the South Wales Football Association and the South Wales Women's & Girls' League to ensure that talented female players in South Wales have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Stage 4 - Players born in 2003, and exceptional players born in 2004, may be invited to attend FAW Trust 'National Under 15 Camps'.
Training and fixtures
Players selected for the South Girls' Performance Centre will attend weekly training on the 3G pitch at Cardiff University Sports Fields. Training will take place over five blocks between September and May.
Fixtures will take place during each block between the South Girls' Performance Centre and other Performance Centres.
Performance Centre sessions are in addition to players' club sessions.
Trials and nominations
Trials take place annually, with any female player from the south area eligible to attend following nomination by their club team; clubs are required to nominate players via the nomination portal ahead of the trials. Please note that club secretaries are informed of trials by the South Wales Women's & Girls' League.
The nomination portal is now closed for the 2017-18 season.
If it is deemed by a club coach that they have an exceptional player in their squad that is deserving of a trial at the Performance Centre, then nominations may be accepted during the season.
