Event: IMG Netball Summer league 2010-11

24 May 2011

For the first time Cardiff University Sport has organised an IMG Netball league from the beginning of May to the middle June. Eight teams from the regular IMG Netball programme participated and feedback was positive. We hope that all the teams that participated enjoyed themselves and found the league enjoyable and an escape from revision.

As a result Cardiff University Sport are looking to increase the IMG summer league programme in the 2011/2012 academic year by offering a range of sports including 7-a-side football, touch rugby and squash amongst others subject to demand. To keep up-to-date on the latest developments please check the Sport and Student Union websites.

Cardiff University Sport (in conjunction with the University’s Athletic Union) organises and administers variety of Intramural Games (IMG) activities for students throughout the year. There are very active 11-a-side (32 teams) and 7-a-side (16 teams) football leagues and a Netball league (40 teams), where fixtures are played weekly.  You can either get a group of friends together to form a team, or you can look at joining one of the existing teams and many are keen to take on board new players.  Many academic departments enter teams into the competitions so keep an eye out for further information within your specific department or make enquiries with an administrator. We've also hosted a number of leagues and events in other sports including Squash, Tennis, Badminton and Dodgeball.
