Research Networks and Collaborations
WCEBC is a collaborating centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute (located within NHSCRC) aims to develop the science of implementation and promote evidence-based practice through the development and evaluation of internationally excellent systems for evidence location, appraisal, translation and utilisation.
CESAGen is a collaborative research centre which is funded as part of the ESRC Genomics Network. The Centre is based at the universities of Lancaster and Cardiff. At Cardiff, CESAGen is housed in The School of Social Sciences, and at Lancaster in The Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy (IPPP).
MHRN-C is a Wales Office of R&D funded network. The network supports vital large-scale research which will help to raise the standard of mental health and social care research and practice throughout Wales. MHRN-C has recently established six clinical research groups that supplement the research hubs. The research groups will provide the creative drive for the network. One of the research groups is led by staff in the Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies.
Chaired by the School's Grace Thomas, this Research Forum provides a supportive, collaborative and stimulating arena for discussing and promoting midwifery and reproductive health research within a multi-disciplinary context.
