Analysing and Interpreting Advanced Practice (NRT174)
This module is designed for practitioners working at, or towards, an advanced level of clinical practice, as generalists or specialists or those working at that level in education, research or management (NLIAH 2010). Overall it will enable practitioners from a variety of settings from around the world to critically examine a range of professional, policy and advanced practice issues that shape their contribution to quality care.
The MSc Advanced Practice programme has been adjusted to not only answer the call for education that enables practitioners to become ‘fit for purpose’ post qualification but also to meet the request of local and university health boards for a greater number of transferable skills within your profession (Schober and Affara 2006, NLIAH 2010).
Advanced practice is seen differently in ‘different parts of the world’ (ICN 2006) Nevertheless, there are many similarities at this level of practice which, alongside any differences, this module seeks to explore with international practitioners. Such diversity in practitioner backgrounds only serves to enhance your learning.
