Non-Medical Prescribing 1 (NRT082)
The aims of this module are:
- to prepare practitioners to critically appraise information sources in developing knowledge for prescribing practice and to operate in a cost effective, clinical effective and ethical manner.
- to introduce practitioners to policies, influences and processes shaping the prescribing role and to provide opportunities to evaluate both policy and own intended clinical practice to meet the pertinent outcomes of the RPSGB (2006) outline curriculum NMC (2006) Standards of Proficiency.
These aims are designed to develop critical analysis and personal reflection skills and prepare course participants for life long professional development and to develop clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge relevant to own area of practice that underpins safe and effective prescribing within a clinical management plan
This module must be completed with module NRT083 Non-Medical Prescribing 2
