These placement profiles provide information about the various clinical areas where Cardiff nursing and midwifery students can expect to be allocated to for their practice learning (placements). They include contact numbers and information about the patients, staff, environment and the learning opportunities available in each clinical area. University contacts (link lecturers) are also included in the profiles and their role is to be a support to the clinical area and students.

You should also contact the clinical area 1-2 weeks prior to the commencement of your placement to introduce yourself to the staff and find out your who your mentor is and what hours you will be working for the first week of your placement.
