Under close and continuous supervision
- Involved in the assessment and recognition of sick children 0 – 18 years
- Assessment (Triage), management of acute trauma 0 – 18 years
- Opportunities to observe critical sick/injured patients care management
- Acute trauma skills: wound dressing/strapping/bandaging
- Involved in review clinics
- Opportunities to visit Trauma Clinic/main area of A+E
- Documentation – shared professional documentation
- Child protection and referral processes
- Health promotion opportunities
Preparation for Practice:
Child Branch: Modules NR2079, NR3143 and NR3080
Shifts:
- 12 hour shifts (Days, nights and weekends)
