The philosophy of Pen-Ty-Yns is encapsulated in the Health Advisory "Rehab Good Practice Networks" definition of rehabilitation and is based on the principles of Social Role Valorisation.
Rehabilitation (Pen-Yr-Yns) is about helping people who are disabled by serious omgoing mental health problems to rebuild satisfying, hopeful and contributing lives and to acess the roles, relationships and activities that non disabled citizens enjoy, even within the limitations imposed by their mental health difficulties.
The centrasl aim of the service is to provide a high quality locally based rehabilitation service for individuals with emduring mental health problems.
