Adult patients with acute and chronic respiratory problems.
Key Learning Opportunities:
- holistic acute nursing care
- care of patients transferring to or stepping down from HDU & ITU
- simple and complex discharge planning together with early discharge scheme access specialist support services utilisation and enhanced nursing roles appropriate to respiratory patients and care of chest drains, such as flushing and removal of chest drains
Preparation for Practice:
We have a dedicated teaching pack for students and newly qualified staff so students can tailor their learning and maximise their time within the speciality according to their level of Nurse training
