Dr Aled Jones
After a career in mental health and adult nursing I entered nurse education in 1997 as a Tutor (Nursing) in Swansea University. Teaching activities focused on delivering modules in research methods and interpersonal skills to undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral students. A 2 year secondment as a RCBC post-doctoral Fellow followed the award of my PhD in 2006. Upon my return to Swansea University I was the Health Sciences PhD Programme Director from 2008 until my move to Cardiff University in the summer of 2011.
Network Lead – Quality Improvement & Patient Safety Education Network (QuIPSEN), funded by the Health Foundation.
Advisory Group Member – Qualitative Enquiry Supporting Trials (QUEST) – QUEST is NISCHR funded body which advises the West Wales Organisation for Rigorous Trials in Health (WWORTH) on qualitative research within clinical trials.
Member of the Cardiff and Vale NHS UHB Faculty for Quality Improvement – the Faculty was recently awarded an NHS Wales 2012 Award for “Promoting Clinical Research and Application to Practice”.
