The Cardiff University School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies is a thriving centre for teaching and research in the fields of adult nursing, midwifery, children and young people’s nursing, mental health and community/primary care nursing with an excellent reputation in all areas. Around 300 undergraduates join the School each year to follow degrees in nursing – adult nursing, children's nursing, mental health nursing and midwifery.
The School aims to continue to play a major role in policy development at regional, national and international levels. Staff act as advisers to the Welsh Assembly Government as well as a wide range of national and international organisations.
The School enjoys close links with the School of Healthcare Studies, Social Science, Medicine, Psychology and Paediatrics as well as other departments within the University.
