Overview:
Designed for Medical Technical Officers, Clinical Scientists, Radiographers and Radiologists working in the NHS who are new to the subject.
Knowledge of the relevant basic physics is assumed.
The course will provide an up to date and comprehensive introduction to the techniques of Radionuclide Imaging. It will inform participants of the basics of radioactivity, instrumentation (especially gamma cameras and computers), radiation protection and clinical techniques. It will also inform them about the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals and their use in clinical diagnosis.

Learning Outcomes:
- At the end of the course, each participant should have gained sufficient knowledge to become a useful member of a Radionuclide Imaging team.
Additional information:
The day delegate rate will be £550.00 for the 4 days, this includes lunches and refreshments each day, the residential rate will be £845.00 which also will include 4 nights (Mon/Tues/Weds/Thurs). Bed and full English breakfast & Dinner the course will finish after lunch on the last day. A packed lunch will be available to take away for travel, if required. The fee (cheques payable to Cardiff University or employer invoice details) is payable at the least 4 weeks before the course]. Please ensure early application as places are limited.
